Marc supports the Pickens Plan and believes this country must increase its use of natural gas to reduce its dependence on foreign oil. He has spent time in Venezuela, West Africa, Indonesia, as well as travels to UK, Norway, Canada and Europe. He understands just how fragile our relations are with the oil producing countries and that foreign oil can easily be diverted to the growing needs of China, India and Indonesia creating a shortage here. Marc experienced the gas lines of the 70's and does not want to see their return. We need to increase domestic production both onshore and offshore in this country. Both economics and political restrictions dictate where development takes place. Banning whole sectors of the economy like the "Moratorium on Offshore Drilling"has a chilling effect on the economy and drives up energy costs. Our negative balance of trade will continue to devalue the dollar and soon we will not be able to buy the high imports at the price the rest of the world is willing to sell it at. Trying to take it militarily is the path to the next world war.
